Two U.S. Agriculture Professionals Join Inocucor as Sales Managers in Southern States

Hires are in Response to Growing Demand for Inocucor Biologicals

MONTREAL, March 12, 2015—Two veteran U.S. agriculture professionals, Scott A. Houston and David R. Lilly, have joined agriculture biotech company Inocucor Technologies, Inc. as sales managers in the southeastern U.S.

Inocucor produces biological soil, seed and plant accelerators that improve yields, speed maturation and promote healthier, more resilient soils and plants for organic farmers, greenhouse growers and mainstream production farmers.

A 26-year agriculture industry professional, Houston has worked in sales, marketing, management and financing in the agricultural crop protection industry for Valent USA, AgraQuest, BASF, American Cyanamid and Farm Credit Bank. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida and a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Georgia.

Lilly is an expert in crop selection, crop inputs, and traditional and hydroponic vegetable, specialty food, foliage and landscape production crops. He spent the past seven years at Southern Nursery and Consulting Inc. and 16 years in various sales and management positions with biotechnology company Kirin Agribusiness Division, Tokyo, Japan. He holds a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture from Cornell University.

Inocucor’s President and CEO Donald R. Marvin said the new positions were created to meet increased demand for Inocucor’s Garden Solution®, the company’s first product, a biological accelerator used by greenhouse growers, mainstream production farmers and organic farmers.

“Biological solutions such as Inocucor’s are in demand because they naturally increase yields, shorten time to harvest and improve soils,” said Marvin. “We will continue to add high-caliber sales and technical staff to meet the growing demand for our products.”

Marvin said demand is being stimulated by word of mouth from the first Inocucor Garden Solution customers in the southeast, including the famed Brookgreen Gardens, Clemson University’s Sustainable Agriculture Program and a group of large vegetable crop field and greenhouses in the Carolinas.

Inocucor was founded in 2007 by two Canadian scientists, Dr. Margaret Bywater–Ekegärd and Ananda Lynn Fitzsimmons, who combined their knowledge of the human and plant microbiomes to create biological soil and plant accelerators for agriculture. The company’s patented fermentation process for isolating and combining naturally occurring yeasts and bacteria is similar to that used in winemaking.
